Realizing with my slight addiction to facebook, I have lots of updating to do here. Deciding to bring everyone up to speed quickly, I'm going to take a few "bullets"...Bullet Points that is.
.Life is going well here at the DeYoung house.
.In Jan Dawson turned 9! Brian made the Dean’s List. I spent 6 days in the hospital and had surgery. Aleigha learned to write everyone in the families’ names. The kids enjoyed snowmobiling with Brian. GREAT report cards.
.In Feb Cole turned 8! Blake turned 4! Dawson started Karate. We celebrated Valentine’s Day...and I decided we should go to Disney. (Lucky for me Brian agreed.) We left 16 days after we made that decision...having to go when Brian was on Spring Break. Our kids took their FIRST vacation out of Michigan. ALL seven of us flew from Detroit to Orlando and stayed at Disney for 6 days. IT WAS AWESOME. SO awesome, I have no other word for it.
.In March Blake and Mommy went to the circus. Cole started machine pitch baseball. Dawson had a music program. Kennedy & Brian went to "Father Daughter Bowling". Dawson, Cole and I had a "date" at a Griffin's game. We got to visit with my sister-in-law Wendi. We got rid of two of our cats. Aleigha thought that Lady Gaga "Poker Face" was a nursery rhyme. Blake got his first two-wheeler. We had an 80 degree day here in Michigan.
.In April (so far) Kennedy turned 11! Had a sleep-over at a hotel with 6 girls. Dawson caught a cat fish that was at least 15 inches long. Kennedy is wearing "speed skates" hoping to join the speed team at Tarry Hall. Brian is finishing up his second semester at school. We had a wonderful Easter and give all glory to God.
