Lots of updates...Brian did NOT have surgery last week on his finger, instead I decided to have a few kidney stones. Ok, actually they decided to have me. It started on New Years Eve, we were gone with some friends. I started to have some back pain but just attributed it to standing for a long time and being in the car for awhile. In addition, I was car sick! (I promise I wasn't just trying to ride shot gun) I tried to dismiss all this and have a good time, which for the most part I did. But even upon returning home on New Years Day I just felt crummy. Keep plugging away, no time for being sick. Made it until January 4, celebrated Dawson's Birthday, tucked the kids in and realized this pain was here to stay. It was a Sunday night, I knew we had a busy week upon us...thinking that I might have a kidney infection - I went the the Urgent Care Center hoping for an antibiotic. After some blood work, and a CT-scan...I was informed that I had a Kidney Stone that had traveled about 1/3 of it's journey and that was the source of my misery. WONDERFUL. They gave me some pain pills and sent me home with well wishes and a strainer. YIPEE. Made it until Monday morning, and realized these pain pills weren't cutting it...Thought I could make a quick trip into the ER, load up on some pain meds and head home to prepare for Brian's surgery. Never made it out of the ER. I ended up staying at St. Mary's Hospital until Friday. Surgery to remove that kidney stone was on Wednesday...news that he has some brothers still in my kidneys came on Wednesday night. Diagnosed with Pneumonia on Thursday, returned home with another strainer and some pain pills on Friday night. WHEW. Nothing like starting your year out like that...
Brian's surgery to have his finger amputated is tomorrow. I will post some FUN updates real soon. Like Libby Lu with Kennedy and Aleigha. Dawson's Birthday and Birhtday video and perhaps even some Christmas photos if I remember.
